Behind the Design
The St. Charles Streetcar Line, Route 12, is the oldest continuously operating streetcar line in the world and is a registered US Historic Landmark. The green streetcars that run on Route 12 are synonymous with Uptown New Orleans. Tulane University, located on the route, is considered one of the top research universities in the country. My Father is a Tulane alum and I have fond memories of attending Green Wave football, basketball, and baseball games as a boy. This pattern depicts St. Charles Ave streetcars in the distinct colors of Tulane athletics.
